Spring Passage in Haliburton County plus Great Lakes Shipwreck Graveyard

It's almost spring and life renews in late 1800's Haliburton County. Plus, Canada's Great Lakes are the world's largest freshwater shipwreck graveyard.

Show notes

This week, Kate talks about Spring's renewal of life in late 1800's Haliburton County - logging drives, maple syrup and planting crops. Plus, Paul talks about the Great Lakes - huge bodies of sometimes treacherous water that collectively are the world's largest freshwater shipwreck graveyard. So many stories with 6,000 ships having sunk and 30,000 lives lost over the centuries - today is the story of only a few of those unfortunate vessels.
