Show notes

This week, Kate talks about Remittance Men in 1800's Haliburton County. Remittance Men were 'black sheep' sons of Victorian English aristicocracy who were were sent far by their families with an income - as long as they stayed far away. One of those was Theophilus Bellairs. Plus Paul talks about Canada's top secret WW2 spy school on the shore of Lake Ontario near Whitby - it was the first of its kind in North America and many famous people were either students or visitors.
