This week, Kate talks about the origins of Haliburton County's Maple Lake Church - after almost 125 years the quaint, picturesque church is needing to close the doors permanently after its last service on July 17, 2022. So many stories can be told! Plus, Paul talks about Canadian explorer, adventurer and prospector Kathleen Rice who broke the Edwardian era mold for women during the end of the Edwardian era in the late 1800's and into the 1900's.
