This week, Kate talks about Albert (Bert) Thompson Porter from Haliburton who was a County Court Clerk and a wounded WW1 Vet. He was popular in the communiuty and his legacy lived on into the 1930's and 1940's as the namesake for the Major A.T. (Bert) Porter Memorial Cup that was awarded to the winner of a hockey tournament held annually in Haliburton Village. Plus, Paul talks about the almost impossible first cross-Canada car trip in 1912.....along with all the problems, accolades and legacies of the trip.
