A Little Town Named Cheddar plus Toronto - Belfast of North America

How did Haliburton County's little town of Cheddar get it's name plus why was Toronto called the Belfast of North America in the mid-1800's?

Show notes

This week, Kate talks about the little town of Cheddar in Haliburton County from the late 1800's and how it may have gotten its name. BTW - it's a ghost town today. Plus, Paul talks about how Ireland's potato famine and land clearances led to tension and violence between Irish Protestant and Catholics in mid-1800's Toronto - all leading to Toronto being nicknamed the Belfast of North America.
